As I was wrapping up this issue and taking a look through the pages preparing to write this letter there was something I wasn’t aware of that popped out at the last minute…there are some great opportunities for pizza owners right now. As you probably already know, the Best of the Best competition finals will be taking place in September, the Free Pizza Box competition by First Pack is still open to entries and there is an announcement by Pizza Local for entries for on independent operator to be voted Australia’s Best Independent pizza shop.All of these competitions have some great prizes and opportunities to get your name out there.You can bet you will be reading about the winners in upcoming issues of PMQ’s Pizza Australia…a couple will even be on the cover. Look through the pages and find the info about these contest and enter.There is no cost to toss your hat in the ring and a few of you reading this right now will be getting a call from PMQ and end up with your face on the cover in addition to earning some great prizes.

Speaking of opportunities, don’t miss out on the 2009 Fine Foods Show in Sydney in September (7th–10th).A majority of the companies you see here in this magazine will be there showcasing and demonstrating new equipment and products you won’t hear about for months to come, so be the first to be in the know by visiting their booths and asking questions and seeing what special show deals they have to offer.Also be sure to go by the Caboolture booth and sample some of Australia’s best pizzas at the Best of the Best competition.
