PUBLISHER’S NOTES

I’d like to start this issue by thanking all of the people, both pizza shop owners and advertisers that the PMQ staff and I was able to meet and visit with while traveling throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. From these visits we were able to gather lots of new material for upcoming issues…so stay tuned for another great year of PMQ. As you can see, my letter is a bit shorter, which is a result of trying to pack as much in this issue as possible.As a result from conversations with the editorial writers, you will be seeing a lot on pasta in this issue.As we talked about the subject, there were so many points about adding, removing or who to effectively sell pasta, that we gave an all-out effort to cover as many aspects as possible in one issue. I hope you find the Pastabilities useful. As we cruised the floor of this year’s Fine Foods Show, we found many new ideas and products. Be sure to look through the articles from the show to learn more about these products and companies. I would also like to introduce George Carrageorge frm Torino Foods as one of the new editorial contributors. In this issue, he will attempt to explain why your food costs have been changing. Over the next few issues we will be introducing even more new writers and subjects in a effort to bring more information about the things that affect your bottom line.
