Letter's To The Editor
We get many emails and questions here at PMQ from our readers in which we supply answers and advise to in email replies. After talking with my editorial board we thougth it would be best to start posting some of these questions and answers in the magazine so everyone could benefit. If you have a question or comment, shoot it over to us at tom@pmqaustralia.com and we’ll do our best to get you the answers you need.
Hi Guys,
David here from Vesbar Mobile Pizza Bar in Perth. I am a big fan of the magazine!! Enjoy it- cover to cover. How can I receive a issue every-time it comes out? I have the last few issues, but missing the one with Brandon Farrell from Stones Pizza on the cover. Any chance of getting these? Can I subscribe? If you would like to do something with Vesbar for your next issue please feel free to give me a call. Being mobile I have found a new market servicing offices and work places around Perth, cooking wood-fired pizzas during their lunch break, they call us “The Italian Jiffy Food Van”. We just pull up at the office and those who want a pizza come out and have it cooked right there, fresh on the spot! Being wood-fired , it only takes a few minutes and gives them a change from the old ham and salad sandwich. Look forward to hearing from you.

As many have already noticed, PMQ’s Pizza Australia now comes out six times per year.We have been adding new pizza shops to the mailing list over the past year, which may be the reason some who never got it before are just now starting to receive the magazine. Since I received this email, Stephen Millar and I did in fact get a chance to visit with David on a recent trip to Perth and will be doing a profile on his operation. In the meantime, if you would like to get some back issues, shoot me an email to tom@pmqaustralia.com and we can arrange something.
Hi guys.
We are looking at opening a pizza shop and wanted to know is there any info that you can send out that explains the cost of making a pizza, over heads , employees ect.? Also, anything that includes dough prices per bag? It would be greatly appreciated.
Ryan
Hi Ryan. I would recommend calling the guys at The Pizza Consultants (0413 902 391) or shooting an email over to them at pizzaconsultant@y7mail.com. They specialise in helping new and existing operators in determining costs and getting your pizza business in order.
Hi.
I am looking for a gluten free bakery in South Australia who they advertise in your magazine. Could you please be kind and send me their phone number. Thank you.
Omid S.
Try contacting either Lifestyle Bakery (08 8260 7700) or Silly Yak (03 9480 1333). Both of these companies can supply you (either direct or through food distributors in your area) with several types of gluten-free products. If
you can’t find what you need with them, give me a ring
and we will try to locate another source for you.
Hi Tom,
I wanted the contact details for companies in Australia who sell the die-cut fridge magnets. I have contacted Mr. Magnets to inquire about it and apparently they don’t produce them.Thank you for your time.
Bob G. (Positanos Pizza Pasta)
P.S. I really enjoy reading your magazine and follow some of the advise you or your writers publish. Keep it up…it’s awesome.
Thanks for the kind words. Here are a few companies I called who do offer the die-cut magnets. When you call them up, be sure to tell them you read about it in PMQ.
